I've had a pretty good weekend. Seem to be keeping my food in check and working out regularly. However, I feel like I'm on a roller coaster of motivation and emotions.
One minute I'm totally motivated and can picture success, then I try on a pair of pants and think they should fit better or be lose, and I get discouraged.
Then I head to Dairy Queen( ice cream shop) w my two boys and their friends and SHOCKINGLY I don't get anything and I didn't even want anything. That's HUGE for me.
But now I'm home and I look ahead at how much I have to lose and the thought of doing this/ monitoring my eating all the time and counting calories all the time, and I got bummed out after reading the review of Diabetes Destroyer recently.

For all of you who have been successful-- is this just the way it is?!? Good and bad, highs and lows? BUT is the key to just stick with it, that this will eventually feel normal, and I will feel good about myself a whole lot more?
Congratulations for how well you have done so far!!! Be sure to acknowledge the successes!
I find it helpful to look at the small successes I have throughout the day. Sometimes it is a change in mindset, other times it is a decision to eat healthily rather than eat what I want, and other times it may be deciding to take a day of from working out because I need a day off.
I found that I am better off focusing on how much better I am feeling rather than my weight and how my clothes fit. I notice that I can carry heavier groceries, that I have more energy to help my daughter practice pitching, I have much fewer episodes of palpitations due to mitral valve prolapse, and I feel healthier overall.
Hang in there!!! It does get easier, and remember...we have a choice about what we focus on. I need to focus on the present in order to be successful! It's one day at a time and enjoy the journey.
